While Wycliffe’s aim is to translate scripture it would be wrong to suggest that this is the only benefit to a community from the translation process.

The work undertaken as part of Bible translation also results in community benefits. Governments are able to communicate important messages to groups in a way that they won’t have been able to do before, children receive a better education in the language that they speak at home as well as the gospel becoming clearly understood by the local community.
