Reliance on supernatural explanations for major life events — such as death and illness — increases rather as people age, U.S. researchers say.

Lead author Cristine Legare, assistant professor of psychology at The University of Texas at Austin, and colleagues reviewed more than 30 studies on how people — ages 5-75 — from various countries reason with three major existential questions: The origin of life, illness and death.

Wonder why…

I personally do not like supernatural talk. I tend not to believe in the supernatural – sure, the extranatural, but God doesn’t exist separate from this reality. Therefore, anything that happens will need to be natural.

But, this does happen. Wonder why…

  1. You seem to be a student of Immanuel Kant….who was wrong on SOO many levels.
    Correct me if I’m wrong, but you also seem to be repeating the Jesus Seminar also. Do you have professors who were part of it?

    1. No and no.

      I am a student of history, first. The idea of the supernatural evolved only when we were convinced that God is too far distant to be daily involved in our lives.

      God is still Creator and thus creating.
