A particular poignant hymn is one by (Uncle) Isaac, but I especially like the third verse,
Blessings abound where’er he reigns;
all prisoners leap and loose their chains;
the weary find eternal rest,
and all who suffer want are blest.
And to that, I think,
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. (Mat 28:18 NLT)
If He reigns, or there will come a time when He will reign, and God will be God over all, then what a day that will be.
It was a beautiful day today, not too terribly hot, but I am definitely ready for cooler temperatures. And wouldn’t mind spending a week or so in Scotland, say, mid-September, but we’ll see…
And if I do, I wouldn’t mind trying some Haggis…
It is going to be another very long week at work, so don’t expect much from me, although, we’ll see. The summer time is always a lull in many things, readers, writings, and frankly, we all need a wee bit o’time to relax. I mean, I don’t get that time….
We are close to making a decision about our future ecclesiastical home, so we’ll see. I might spend some time exploring that issue in the coming weeks.
Tomorrow, I am going to apply for a passport, and to have it expedited. I figure by August 1st, I will know about any trips to Scotland in September.
So, seeing as it is getting late, I’m signing off. Have a great Sunday evening, and we’ll see you soon.
I have never had Haggis … not too sure about it. Have you had tried Turducken?
