Sunday Thoughts – 11/29

Today is the first Sunday of Advent, 2009. Just a few more weeks until the happiest day on Earth – December 26th. I have started my Scrooginess already, and I expect everyone to stay out of my way 🙁 No lights, no St. Nick, no tree, nothing! And no, and I mean no, Tiny Tim.

I think that I have finally recovered my trip down South last weekend, and just in time to head back to work tomorrow. But, hey, I will be taking two weeks off at the end of the month from that job, so I have what, three weeks to go? Not too bad…

The weather seems to be unseasonably warm, doesn’t it? Oh well, saves on the electricity.

We have already started with the gift buying – not that I am a fan of that. We set a rather small limit for the children, buy one gift for each other, allow them to ‘secretly’ buy gifts for us, get a few more gifts for some friends, and focus on a local Charity. I will be posting some from the local newspaper over the next few weeks. If you don’t have a local charity, please feel free to contribute something to one of the stories I post. They have all been verified as true, so not to worry about fraud. While I hope that my local stories get the donations they need, I would rather see your local charities succeed as well.

It is going to be a very long three weeks, but I have a few book reviews to publish, tons more to read, and a few other thoughtful posts to get to.

Have a wonderful week.
