Someone invited me?

There is something that is always both flattering and frightening when someone invites you to a thing. Both of those things are playing out as I type this. I am flattered because who wouldn’t be? A gracious invitation form a friend or acquaintance should always be flattering to a person. Frightened because I am not so certain that there is much I have to offer. I really have no formal qualification in much of anything one would consider healthy. Until I took ill, my work history was as a bouncer, a body guard and a bounty hunter with stints as a volunteer missionary both in and out of the U.S. My theological training, such as it is, is from the Wesleyan tradition through my grandfather and through personal study. Perhaps the only qualifications that I have are a deep love of Jesus and a true and honest desire to be like David, beautifully flawed and imperfect, but always a man after God’s own heart. With those things in mind, I will do my best to view any comments made in the best possible light, ask questions to understand, and both agree and disagree with politeness and the understanding that I don’t have all the answers either. I hope that you all will do the same. Cheers.
