No condemnation

Last week I posted a comment from Leon Fontaine where he said:

If you don’t tithe you’re a coward.

Fontaine also said:

If you don’t serve at Church you’re a coward.

And while I can’t remember his exact words, he said that there is no faith without works. And he said a lot more of what to him is cowardly.

Fontaine said that the punishment for cowardice in the US Army is death, thereby saying that what Fontaine classes as a Christian cowardly sin is punishable by death. He quoted Revelation to back this up:

But the cowardly … their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur. Rev 21:8 (NIV)

I was reminded tonight what I heard Rick Godwin say:

There is no condemnation in Christ.

Fontaine wants to condemn some Christians to Hell, calling them cowards for not following Fontaine’s law. Leon, I’m sure you’re a nice guy, please don’t …

We are living under grace of Jesus Christ not the law, anyone’s law.
