My Lord and My God – Insight from a fellow blogger

A fellow biblioblogger caught one of my posts on the Creeds, (Here) and posted a question:

Something I should ponder in my own Preaching too, “Am I, diministing Christ in my preaching by preaching even if subtly that he is only Lord and not God?”

What do you think?

  1. I don’t really understood how Jesus, the Son, is seen to be a completely separate entity from God, the Father and Holy Spirit. They are all one and the same, aren’t they? Though for our distinction purpose, we separate them because we can’t understand, in our limited human understanding, both the one-ness and the trinity of God.

However, just because we are praying for the God, doesn’t mean that things are supposed to the way we understand, right? When Bible says, that Lord, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are one and the same, I believe they are one and the same.

You can see in Bible yourself:

Isaiah 43:10 You are my witnesses,” says the Lord, “my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may consider and believe in me, and understand that I am he. No god was formed before me, and none will outlive me. ©NET

And here is lot more information for you to better understand the concept of trinity and how Lord, God, and Holy Spirit are Three-in-One:

Good luck! I hope this helps you understand more…
