Hell, Peter Kirk, Bell, N.T. Wright

I’m in love with one of those things above…

Peter Kirk has a post up about Hell and some other stuff. Right now, we all need to be focused on hell because it makes for good business, I say.

And what is now floating around the interwebs is a video by N.T. Wright

Wright on Hell & Bell from The Work Of The People on Vimeo.

Why are American’s so fixated on hell?

Maybe it’s because of Texas. It’s hot. Big. Sorta like hell.

I hope that this conversation doesn’t go away – we need constant theological reflection, in my opinion.

  1. I just want to know if during this whole kerfluffle anyone has written a post called “Hell’s Bells”? I would also accept “Bell’s Hells”.

Because that was a great mockumentary about the dangers of rock and roll that I got to watch every year in chapel.

  2. I lived in Texas for many years. General Sheridan said, “If I owned Texas and Hell, I would rent Texas and live in Hell.”

But it’s much nicer since they got air conditioning.

  3. Do I know where Hell is?
    Hell is in “Hello”
    Heaven is “Goodbye forever,
    It’s time for me to go . . .”
