First I’d like to thank Joel for allowing me to be contributor here.
I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself as not everyone here knows my story.
I was raised American Baptist. But, over the course of my life as a Baptist, I began to question Baptist dogma and polity. While I was in college, I was introduced to Lutheranism where I heard that radical thing called grace…something I had not heard before. It was that Sunday that set the course to where I am today. I bounced around for a while and even left the church because I was hurt by the Baptists. But something…or someone brought be back…but that’s a whole different story.
I have a Bachelors in Political Science and a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (ELCA).
I currently work as the Director of Child, Youth and Family Ministries at a Lutheran Church outside of Seattle, WA. My wife and I just had our first child earlier this year and we are still adjusting to life as new parents.
My interests include pop-culture and theology, post-modernism and the church, church history and religious news. My posts will be focusing on these areas.
oh joel… you devil… adding a lutheran to garner more hits? it's appalling. now i'm going to have to go scout out an episcopalian… dag nabbit. that's the last thing i wanted to do.
You want an Anglican? I know an Irish one… 🙂
Hello, so what is the difference between being a Baptist and a Lutheran? it is all man made denominations! I am none of those, just a child of God and a believer of Jesus…
