Well, alrighty then –
Potential GOP presidential contender Donald Trump opened about his faith during an interview with a Christian network, saying he is a Christian and that he’s a “Sunday church person.”
“I believe in God. I am Christian. I think The Bible is certainly, it is THE book. It is the thing,” Trump told Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody.
In the six-minute interview clip, which will air nationwide Tuesday at 10 a.m. on “The 700 Club,” Trump shared that he used to attend First Presbyterian Church in Jamaica Queens.
“I’m a Protestant, I’m a Presbyterian. And you know I’ve had a good relationship with the church over the years. I think religion is a wonderful thing. I think my religion is a wonderful religion.”
….
”Well, I go as much as I can. Always on Christmas. Always on Easter. Always when there’s a major occasion. And during the Sundays. I’m a Sunday church person. I’ll go when I can.”

I think the opening statement.. “Well, alrighty then…” just about sums this up perfectly.
Please, stop posting this stuff. Makes me a little ill. Trump is a idiot, but lets look at his own words. First, “Sunday church person.” ,- should not you be a Christian all the time, not just on Sunday? “And you know I’ve had a good relationship with the church over the years”.- who does he think he is, the Emperor Constantine (I apologize to Constantine, I just degraded the long dead Emperor). And finally, “I’m a Sunday church person. I’ll go when I can.” – which is a code phrase meaning I go when I darn well want to.
Uh, well, I am rarely at a loss for words, but this time…
Imagine, Christmas AND Easter. Zealot!
I know, I was stunned.
Apparently, even his writers couldn’t be bothered to note that telling using the phrase “Christmas and Easter” with actual Christians isn’t a winner.
Then again, maybe they figure that no actual Christians watch “The 700 Club.”
