Contexting our memories

I always thought my parents and step-parents were crazy for not listening to modern music, and instead listening to the same tired old music from the 60’s and 70’s. But, listening to music from my own childhood, I think I understand way… it’s the memories. It brought to mind this song, again from my own childhood:

This is what I’m trying to get to when I talk about merisms and searching for literary sources that would trigger entire contexts for the reader. Like in Deuteronomy 30.13 and Mark 5.1. These shared phrases are meant to invoke something, not just as a literary source.

Anyway… just thought I’d share.
