Christian conservatives feel besieged by the secular culture, liberal Christians want more social justice. Everyone knows that.
What if there was a middle road?
Dan has a good article from a British standpoint, which might share a middle road:
An alternative model for Protestant politics – Religion – CNN.com Blogs.
Wesley Wildman and Stephen Chapin Garner have two books out dealing with moderates (they call them LiberalEvangelicals). I read the first one Lost in the Middle? Claiming an Inclusive Faith for Christians Who Are Both Liberal and Evangelical. Haven't had a chance to read the second one, Found in the Middle! Theology and Ethics for Christians Who Are Both Liberal and Evangelical. They also have a web site http://liberalevangelical.org.
Thanks, Craig!
