The blogger makes three points:
- Celsus is under the impression that “orthodoxy” preceded heresy. Heresy originated out of selfish desires of Christians.
- Celsus implies that there was no diversity among the first Christians, but Origen insists that diversity has been a part of Christianity from its earliest days.
- There are many sects of Christians known to Celsus.
