Burnside Books, because some books are too Christian to be read by Christians

If The Lord of the Rings were submitted as a book proposal today, no Christian publisher would touch it. It’s too long. It’s not a tight spiritual allegory. The books are dark and violent. Odds are if the trilogy were realized today we’d see some Christian group organizing boycotts. And we know Tolkein to be one of the Christian greats. Look at the struggle The Shack had on the road to publication. Something is dreadfully wrong.
