A thought about the OT law.

It’s interesting that Jesus used King David a lot as an example for breaking the Jewish Law about washing hands, eating on the sabbath etc… For in the study of David, we not only find he ate the consecrated bread in the temple, he broke many laws which deserved death.

He wrongfully murdered, committed adultery, broke treaties and luckily for him that proverbs was written a century or two after his death for he also kept poor company. 🙂 Could it be that Jesus is saying much more about mercy and grace every time he mentioned the past king?
