Before the Tea Party Express brought tens of thousands to protest in the nation’s capital, and before town hall meetings about health care devolved into shout downs, there was the story of the boys of C Street.
With the seemingly quick fall of the the soon to be former Alaska Governor, I have retaken an interest in Dominionism. It started with exploring the underpinnings of Todd Bentley, his connection with others, and finally, with full blown Dominionism. Domionism is simple – they believe that they must take over seven mountains of culture, all cultures, including government (No, seriously, they are public about this stuff – nothing tinfoil about it), including our government. During the campaign, they were campaigning (prophesying) hard that Sarah Palin would be in the White House come January. Well, they were slightly off.
The C Street House is run by a secretive Washington ministry known as The Family, or The Fellowship. Over the past year and a half, The Family has gradually come to public attention, mainly due to journalist and Harpers editor Jeff Sharlet’s ground breaking book The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power. The Family runs the yearly National Prayer Breakfast and maintains a network of Capital Hill prayer groups which have enjoyed the participation of both top GOP but also top Democratic Party Congress and Senate members.
The Family runs but does not own the C Street House. According to a June 26th, 2009 Washington Post story, by Manuel Roig-Franzia, “The Political Enclave That Dare Not Speak Its Name: The Sanford and Ensign Scandals Open a Door On Previously Secretive ‘C Street’ Spiritual Haven”, the C Street House is owned by a “little-known organization called Youth With a Mission of Washington DC.”
Youth With a Mission is a global Christian evangelical organization founded in 1960 which, declares YWAM, is “currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 149 countries, with a staff of nearly 16,000.”
As I was watching some news last night, I saw this story on the Rachel Maddow show – and frankly, it’s a bit creepy. I usually stop watching news by that late hour – else the children run screaming from the information overload. It concerns The Family, founded by Nazi-sympathizer, Abraham Vereide. As I was watching, I was figuring – 70 years ago? Um, right around the time all this gooblygook with William Branham started and the Manifest Sons of God. Actually, it is quite possible that these two crossed paths. (You may also want to check out this site as well.)
Remember, these men who live in this house, all powerful, must surrender to being shepherded by another – and consider themselves ‘chosen.’ In other words, they may do as they choose for they are chosen for greatness in God, and will receive forgiveness.
Note, from the above article:
At the 1990 National Prayer Breakfast, George H.W. Bush praised Doug Coe for what he described as “quiet diplomacy, I wouldn’t say secret diplomacy,” as an “ambassador of faith.” Coe has visited nearly every world capital, often with congressmen at his side, “making friends” and inviting them back to the Family’s unofficial headquarters, a mansion (just down the road from Ivanwald) that the Family bought in 1978 with $1.5 million donated by, among others, Tom Phillips, then the C.E.O. of arms manufacturer Raytheon, and Ken Olsen, the founder and president of Digital Equipment Corporation.
On of the things that we must endeavor to do, is to make sure that we do not come off sounding like conspiracy theories. I detest them – they destroy when we should build up. They weaken us, because rarely ever are they true. First and foremost, this is not a conspiracy theory, nor a conspiracy in reality. What it is, is a horrible use of the gospel – something that men have been doing since it was first laid down. It takes the message of Christ and turns it into something political, something disgusting, something human.
Instead of calling to sin, these people think themselves above the mercy of Christ. If we are chosen, then we are chosen to repentance.
While the connection here between Ensign and Sandford will go unnoticed, it is well remembered that the Dominionists have stated time and time again that they seek to bring about a government of Christ built on seven interconnected mountains – one of them being politics. Where else to start but politicians.
Watch the video below:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. (John 14:12 NKJV)
ministered for over twenty two years. She is ordained. Barbie has established and conducted three prophetic training centers. In 2004, Barbie moved to Texas and opened Breath of the Spirit Center of Training. Breath of the Spirit offers a variety of courses on Healing, Revelatory Gifts, Dream Interpretation and Evangelistic Outreaches.
So, Barbie is a ‘dreamer of dreams’, as Moses wrote, and the ElijahList was kind enough to provide us with her lastest ‘vision.’
This will be, as far as I can see, the final post dealing with the serpent seed doctrine. I want to thank WB, Tammy and the others that have helped in the conversation with Kandy Cain. It is important to take every chance to reach these people.
What are the implications of the serpent seed doctrine…
- If we are to assume that “eat of the fruit of the tree” means fornicate, we have to assume that God gave Adam and Eve permission to fornicate with every other “tree” in the garden EXCEPT the “tree” in the middle. (Gen. 2.16-17)
- If we assume that ‘fruit’ carries with it some secret identification of intercourse, then we have to assume that Adam was a homosexual since he too ate the same fruit that Eve had ate. (3.12)
- In Gen 3.22, we find that God removed Adam and Eve from paradise because He did not want them to eat of the fruit of the tree of life. Now, if those that teach the serpent seed doctrine are correct, then we have a fear of rape for a certain ‘tree.’
The most serious implication is the fruit that falls from the tree of those like Arnold Murray. He teaches a cultish following of himself, distracting his followers from the word of God. Any questioning of Murray results in a branding of ‘Kenite!’ It often produces racism, as is evident with the Christian Identity movement that uses Serpent Seed theology to brand non-whites as children of the devil.
Further, we must continue to note that a great majority, if not all, of the current movement ‘Joel’s Army‘ follows William Branham, the first major proponant of this evil theology.
“Serpent seed” is a term for the belief that Satan had sexual intercourse with Eve, and that Cain was the offspring of the union. Proponents include William M. Branham, the Pastor Arnold Murray, and Sherry Shriner, amongst others. Arnold Murray further believes that the descendants of Cain are the Kenites. Advocates suggest that modern Christian translations of the Old Testament reduce emphasis on this concept.
The serpent’s seed, though not this specific belief, appears in Genesis 3:15, which in one translation states “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Most Christians and Jews do no believe the serpent seed doctrine since Genesis 4:1 states “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.”
A variation of this belief is central to the beliefs of Two-Seed-in-the-Spirit Predestinarian Baptists founded by Daniel Parker. Other variations of this belief occur in the Unification Church (‘Moonies’) and the Christian Identity movement. Some of these groups appear to use the doctrine as a rationalization for racist beliefs.
Theresa Phillips is a mostly unknown, except to John ‘Let’s Get High’ Crowder; but that doesn’t stop her from issuing royal decrees from the Throne. She focuses on the old charismatic stand-bys of ‘gifts of the spirit’ and ‘speaking in tongues’ to declare someone holy. My comments are interspersed.
One of my favorite Southern Gospel groups are the McRaes. They some pretty powerful songs which helps to lift the burden every now and then, and frankly, their style is right up my alley. I cannot sing – trust me, you wouldn’t want me to – nor can I write music, etc… yet if I did, coming across something like this video would trouble me and most likely make me rethink my career. I can imagine that it troubles the ladies in the group.
In the chorus, the words are changed from “and His name is Jesus Christ”, to “and He is the Son of God”. She is talking about a man, NOT Jesus, but an Indonesian man named Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who has proclaimed himself to be the “appointed Son of God”. He has a huge following. Unbelievable! I was outraged, horrified, and disgusted when I saw this!! Our name is in the credits! I was sick to my stomach to know that a song written to glorify God and point people to the ONE TRUE Remedy-Jesus Christ, was being used to point people to this guy!! I have contacted my publisher and lawyers and legal action is taking place to have this video removed, etc. This is really something I had to see to believe!!
If you fast forward to the 3.59 mark, you will see the picture of Apollo Quiboloy as she sings. This false prophet, cult leader, teaches that he is the appointed son of God (god).
- Jesus Christ is also the Father.
- Salvation is through Apollo C. Quiboloy, the Appointed Son of God.
- Apollo C. Quiboloy is the Temple of the Father, Jesus Christ. He is the residence of the Father on earth and heir of all things the Father entrusted to him, not only His words, name, life and kingdom, but also the lives of his enemies, the power to raise even the dead, riches, fame and power in the airwaves.
- The Kernel or Ear in Mark 4:26-28 is the Kingdom of Apollo C. Quiboloy.
- In the change of administration, now sits in the throne that Lucifer usurped from Adam and Eve.
- Apollo C. Quiboloy is the King in the now established Kingdom of God.
- Apollo C. Quiboloy is the father’s standard of judgement.
- Davao City is the New Jerusalem.
Not only that, but this ‘nut’ is a proponent of the serpent seed theology. This mythology, as it were, is taught by the founder of the Latter Rain movement, William Branham, which has become Joel’s Army (Patricia King, Todd Bentley, others and others and others).
For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. (Matthew 24:5 NKJV)
Like Branham, Apollo – who kingdom should consist of no more space than an 8×10 padded cell, has proclaimed himself the finisher of what Christ has done on the Cross, something that the unadulterated version of the song so beautifully points out.
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. (John 19:30 NKJV)
Let us pray that the McRaes are able to get this video pulled, but more than that, able to get them to stop singing that song. And, Church, let us pray that the minors that he recruits will be able to come to Christ and bring others with them, finding the only true remedy that is in Jesus Christ.
McRaes, we’ll be praying for you too.
Thanks to Chrystal at the Slaughter of the Sheep, Kim Clement Prophesies Concerning the Current Election « Slaughter of the Sheep.
Back in February, Kim Clement uses false prophecy to teach his Kingdom Now/Manifest Sons of God theology like C. Peter Wagner teaches. It sounds like Clement is prophesying a death in the White House which will allow apostles and prophets to move in and take over the U.S. Government. Listen and come to your own conclusion.
Kingdom Now/Manifest Sons of God theology teaches that Christ is being held in Heaven until man can subdue the earth, punish God’s enemies, and prepare the earth for the return of Christ. Once man subdues the earth, Jesus can come, and man will lay the earth at Jesus’ feet. Pretty much removes God and His Son from the equation, doesn’t it? This theological garbage puts all the power in the hands of man.
Chrystal is correct, this theology of Joel’s Army is garbage, but is it accomplishing eschatological goals? Kim Clement is one of the those on the forefront of this ‘army’, and since 1995, ‘Kim has traveled to Detroit, Michigan on a monthly basis to help establish The Warriors of the New Millennium for those who have been wounded by present day religion and its trappings”. Kim also, supposedly, prophesied concerning Obama, that he has a righteous reach ‘for Jesus’ and will declare peace in the Middle East. This, of course, is while his fellow ‘prophets’ (profits) were prophesying that Sarah Palin would be president because of Ohio (which voted for Obama)
Remember Todd Bentley…Remember Lakeland
Sarah Palin has been associated all her adult life with churches and political groups that are way out of the theological and political mainstream. Her extreme policy views as Governor reflect this background and raise questions about what kind of vice president John McCain seeks to have voters endorse.
It has been widely reported that McCain barely knew Palin and his team never fully evaluated her to determine her fitness to be vice president.
A recent report in The Anchorage Daily News stated that evangelist Franklin Graham made the Palin connection to McCain, not Republican professionals. Graham, the once-estranged son of Billy Graham, has strong ties to the various strands of the religious rightwing. He met with McCain on June 30 at his headquarters in Boone, North Carolina, after which Graham issued a statement praising McCain’s “personal faith” and prayed for “God’s will to be done in this upcoming election.”
