You see, we are no longer the world’s policeman (yay!)… now we are more like a referee in a old Hollywood movie.

  1. James Madison warned almost before the ink was dry on The Constitution that standing armies and taxes go together. Latter day Republicans were just stupid enough to think they could have a standing army without raising taxes by waging war with the national credit card. As a result, the nation is so far in debt that it can no longer be the world’s policeman. Along the way they also destroyed any lingering notion of American exceptionalism.
