Joel has asked for a few guest bloggers to join him here at Unsettled Christianity, so I have offered to share a post or two. We’ll see how long that invitation lasts after I make my first post a limerick.
Ole Naboth owned a small plot of land;
“Sell it to me!” was Ahab’s demand.
But when Naboth refused
the king’s ego was bruised
and he sulked in his room, the poor man.
But Jezebel, the queen, she grew hot
and shouted, “Are you the king, or not?”
The queen had Naboth killed
and King Ahab was thrilled
to plant an herb garden in that spot.
