Well, maybe Piers Morgan is not a moron after all

I was pondering the logic of a Morgan-Jones interview. A friend suggested that it was due to the “liberal notion of objectivity.” I protested, suggesting instead Morgan did it to incite something.. guess what… others are picking up on that as well. What Morgan did was to showcase the very reason why many are now ago with gun control… because of conspiracy nuts and head cases like Jones… and did I mention Jones is openly advocating treason…?

The video is well worth your seven minutes, but if you don’t have time, Real Clear Politics transcribed the best parts. When Jones really took off, around two minutes in, he started jabbing his finger at Morgan and yelling: “I’m here to tell you, 1776 will commence again, if you try to take our firearms! It doesn’t matter how many lemmings you get out there in the street begging for them to have their guns taken. We will not relinquish them. Do you understand?”

Even Glen Beck says Alex Jones is crazy:

Want to know who the media wants to make the face of the pro-gun argument in America? Look no further than conspiratorial radio host Alex Jones, best known for his 9/11 Truther theories and his love of Charlie Sheen’s hernia. Jones is the man behind the petition to deport CNN host Piers Morgan for his views on gun control. Morgan invited Jones onto his show to debate the gun issue yesterday, and not surprisingly, Jones made a fool of himself, giving the left the perfect poster boy for their attempts to paint every logical conservative as an extremist nut job.

I guess the only people defending Jones is World Net Daily…

    • We have fund the problem with our gun laws. They do not prevent mentally unstable persons from legally getting guns. Short of having a physcological review of everyone getting a gun (maybe a good idea), at least ban large capacity clips, hollow point bullets, and semiautomatic assault rifles. And I am not totally antigun. I am ashamed to say I was an NRA member at one time, and hunted. Hunting is OK if you eat what you shoot. NRA leadership has gone onto the crazy side, only promoting doing the nothing.

      • I guess if someone has already stockpiled weapons and you then declare him “lunatic” and try to confiscate the weapons, you need a well trained SWAT team or something to disarm them. Is that the kind of problem you have in mind?

        • Not really. I doubt Jones as the male bits he thinks he does. It’s like hitting a bully and saying see, see he’s going to hit me and when you do, you’ll know I’m right… and yet, you keep hitting the bully. So, when the bully finally does hit back, you claim that you were right all along.

Or maybe, a single word answer:

          Martyrdom
