Why would you watch Little Honey Boo Boo

I think I need a category for stupid.

But I was fortunate enough to watch several consecutive episodes of TLC’s show, Here Comes Little Honey Boo Boo. If you are unfamiliar with it, it is a show following a 5 year old attempting to be a beauty queen. Because, there is nothing more precious than teaching a 5 year old how to strut her stuff on stage to receive judgment.

The family proudly proclaims the title of redneck and do so to the furtherest extent possible. They eat road kill. Crusty necks. A pregnant 17 year old. A mother and a 17 year old who doesn’t have the ability to speak about the female body without laughing and calling it hold good names. The girls all have different fathers.

It is setting back the recovery of the South by a century.

Even saw the racism. Oh? Missed that?

Watched the Christmas in July episode.

I will not watch it again, but everyone deserves to watch it at least once or twice.

I guess what gets me is the little girl. This little girl is going to face some serious heartache later in life.

  1. I thought for sure that this was just going to be a post about some little kids’ cartoon show. Wow! What a surprise! I think I’ll waive my right “to watch it at least once or twice.”

  2. Just Sayin' says

I’ve been trying to remain completely ignorant of this show and now you go and inform me!
