Oh, yeah! That’s what I wish I’d said. Great point.
He has sunken to new depths. I don’t believe he was always this crazy. I used to watch the Club in the 80′s, and he never said crazy stuff like he has the past couple of years. When I read about his comment about divorce and Alzheimer’s I said to myself “Self, people are going to take what he said as gospel and run with it”. I kid you not, back in November, a good friend who was still clergy at the time, counseled a man in his congregation who used Pat Robertson’s argument to divorce his wife of 20 years. He said she was getting “crazier”, so he wanted his blessing to divorce her. He never got it.
