Along with aftershocks, fire, floods, and lots of death, Japan is not reporting that they have a significant radiation leak at a plant where they have also witnessed an explosion.  There are other plants, from at least last night’s reports, which are in danger of explosion as well.

Japanese authorities confirmed Saturday that radiation had leaked from a quake-hit nuclear plant after an explosion destroyed a building at the site.

The blast at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility occurred just hours after officials said they feared the reactor could melt down.

Footage on Japanese TV showed that the walls of one building had crumbled, leaving only a skeletal metal frame standing. Its roof had also been blown off. Plumes of smoke spewed out of the plant, 20 miles from Iwaki.

Let us keep the Japanese people in our prayers today, as well as those who will be giving humanitarian aid.
