My Predictions on the Superbowl

Two teams, a bunch of men. Each man will be wearing capri pants and blouses with shoulder pads and like men, playing a really rough sport, but wearing lots of protective gear, helmets and making sure nothing gets too rough.

Lots of commercials. This one will already be old when it is aired…

There will be four sections to this game and they will be called quarters with two of them in one half, two halves to the game. A big field… lots of lines.

Lots of fans.

Oh, and one team will win.

His interests include exploring the role of mimesis in human civilization, specifically in the study of religion and media, as well as science fiction and the way in which it has allowed mythology to be explored in light of scientific ideals of the past century. Currently, he is a TA for Old Testament at United Theological Seminary under Dr. Vivian Johnson, Associate Professor of Old Testament. His first book, Rhetorical Strategies of the Evangelist: Mimetic Criticism of the Gospel of Mark, is expected to be published by Wipf and Stock early next year. 1. And a 1 hour game that last 3 hours.

  2. You totally stole my line, you plagiarist. It’s true…you ARE a seminary student…

But you forgot to mention that they’re wearing capri pants, cap-sleeved blouses, and stockings… And that the team includes “tight ends”, “wide receivers” and that the captain of the team’s job is to put both his hands between the legs of another man who’s alluringly bent over in front of him until the quarterback can successfully wrest a ball from the center’s manly grasp. Then, when they need to formulate a plan, all those sweaty, musky mens huddle together in a tight embrace that ends with claps and playful love taps on one another’s fannies…

    Yep. Football. It’s a man’s game…
