It’s one thing to have reasonable concern about the morals of the world around you, but Virginia lawmaker Eugene Delgaudio is another animal altogether.

You’ve read about his conspiracy theory regarding the TSA pat-downs, and you may have read the article in the Loudon Times Mirror that revealed the complete baselessness of Mr. Delgaudio’s insane claims.  It was only a matter of time before Delgaudio turned the spotlight from his unhealthy fixation on man-on-man action into a money-making opportunity, but what’s interesting is that he just can’t seem to help himself from lobbing more evidence-free claims against an entire segment of the American population.

Published below is the entire un-edited email newsletter sent by Mr. Delgaudio on December 4, 2010; the only change in the text is the redaction of the subscriber’s name.  See after for additional commentary.

Dear XXXXX,

I took a stand against the TSA and their “porno scanners” and blatant groping.

And I took a stand against their policy of “non-discrimination” which subjects you and me to humiliation and dehumanization at the hands of practicing homosexuals.

How it exposes those most precious to us — our children — to being photographed by naked scanners or explicit sexual touching by practicing homosexuals.

And the Homosexual Lobby’s lackeys in the media hate me for it.

These TSA policies force terrified parents to choose between salivating radical homosexual employees viewing pornographic images of their child or a full-on molestation.

But that’s not even the worst part of this radical agenda.

It confuses our children into thinking this sort of explicit sexual contact is somehow ok in certain situations — and by strangers no less!

And this is their scheme to grow their ranks.

You see, Homosexuals do not reproduce.  They must recruit our children into their filthy perversion to increase their numbers.

Nearly every single homosexual was once the prey of an older man corrupting them with sin.

If they teach our children that groping by strangers is a socially acceptable practice, their evil is that much easier.

So I took a stand.

But because I took that stand, I’ve fallen victim to the most insidious and vicious attacks I’ve ever seen in my 30 years fighting for the family.

You see, the Homosexual Lobby HATES it whenever anyone challenges their agenda.

They hate it when anyone even questions the problems that will arise in the brave new world they envision.

And they despise those of us who shine light upon their schemes.

I’ve seen their rage firsthand the last few days.

My office has been nearly shut down by angry phone calls and outrageous messages from Radical Homosexuals across this country.

And the media, left and right, is smearing my pro-family message as “hate speech” and “homophobia.”

But I’ve also received hundreds of emails and phone calls from Public Advocate supporters thanking me for taking a stand.

And I want to make something clear right now:

I absolutely refuse to be silenced by the thought control that homosexuals are imposing upon our nation in the name of “political correctness.”

The American people have a right to know that the new security measures by the TSA expose them to sexual assault by every manner of sexual deviants.

They have a right to know that TSA doesn’t even care.

The TSA is even PROUD of hiring open homosexuals to carry out the violation of our rights.

I certainly don’t think that all TSA employees are homosexual.  I’m sure many of of them are as disgusted in having to do what they have been told to do — treat all of as though we are terrorists.

But since all touching and feeling is done by TSA employees who are the same sex as the passenger — it provides a dream job for some militant homosexuals.

And I won’t take it anymore.

Will you stand with me?

You and I need to send a LOUD and CLEAR message to the Homosexual Lobby AND the TSA.

We will not submit!

Please call the congressional switchboard at 202-224-3121

Tell both your senators and congressman that this is wrong and that it must end.

But I hope you’ll do more.

You see, the best way to stick it to the Homosexual Lobby is for Public Advocate to have the resources to combat their radical agenda.

That’s why I hope you’ll contribute today.

In fact, I’m counting on it.

The next time I get a call from the media I must be able to tell them: “America supports Public Advocate!”

Yes, Eugene, you took a stand.  So did General Custer, and you both fared about as well.

His fear-mongering reaches epic new heights in this latest missive, and only reinforces the reasonable belief that the guy may be truly clinically ill.  That I almost pity him makes me violently ill, but such is life with a conscience.

Let us not forget that this man represents the Virginia district inclusive of Dulles International Airport.  Which is why this part is so disturbing:

That’s a pretty vivid and horrific picture.  He should probably explore a career in writing Chick Tracts…

He goes on, as you’ve read, to claim that the TSA’s new policy–which I myself find questionable at best and inappropriate at worst–is a ploy by The Homosexual Agenda to recruit kids.

Perhaps my personal favorite passage is (emphasis his):

This statement is hilarious to me because A) I am a gay dude; B) Most all of the gay folks I know grew up in heterosexual households–many of them devout Christians, no less; C) I am a father, therefore I can obviously reproduce.  The sheer lack of basic understanding is galling, but conflating homosexuality and pedophilia is a particularly malicious kind of defamation.

He goes on to claim that “[n]early every single homosexual was once the prey of an older man corrupting them with sin.”  I’d love to know where this bit of nonsense came from.  Perhaps Mr. Delgaudio himself had a handsy uncle he’s never confronted or a grabby grandpa whose gross gropings he’s never gotten over.  Regardless, some intense therapy is certainly in order.  It’s just not normal for an ostensibly straight guy to think this long and hard about gay stuff.

I, for one, am thrilled that his office was “…nearly shut down by angry phone calls and…messages…” but question the assertion that all of the complaints came from Radical Homosexuals.  In fact, I’m willing to bet that more than a few were from rational conservatives who don’t wish to be associated with this particularly incendiary kind of insanity.

There is a difference between interpreting factual information for the good of your fellow citizens and concocting imagined schemes of drooling men in uniforms who want only to touch your junk.

It’s difficult to determine what’s more abhorrent: that Mr. Delgaudio’s ongoing madness is reaching new depths of malicious mendacity or that he’s used this carefully constructed con to create a cottage industry to cash in on the fears and prejudices of an ill-informed people whose time and money could be far better spent on actual concerns.
