More on Phillip R. Greaves II

Phillip R. Greaves, 2nd. is a rogue scholar with respect to the topics of religion, sexuality and politics. “The Grand Book Of The Godless And Free,” is a collection of essays regarding these general subjects with titles exploring the nature of “God” to parenthood for single-gender families. This is a contraversial volume presenting the often unique views of the author. Thus far, everyone who has read this work has been impressed by its wit and depth. Ray (as he is more commonly known) began his path to knowledge and enlightenment at the ripe old age of ten. When he left the Baptist tradition in which he had been raised and sought-out a new faith beginning with his studies at the local library. He was already familar with sex by the age of seven. Soon he met a varity of people from foreign lands and cultures, from whom he acquired much additional knowledge. Later he joined the Christian cult of the Way Ministry, followed by his joining the Baha’i Faith at the age of eighteen. Next, Ray joined the U.S. Army. Eight years later he embraced the view of rational disbelief, which he is happy to share and discuss with the world. Mr. Greaves is an admirer of Aristotle and Ayn Rand’s Objectivism.

I would imagine that ‘Ray’ wrote this himself.

  1. Lucy Ponzio says

    Absolute scum.

  2. Figures you’re part of a church! Pedophile asshole. I can’t believe you’d write a book for pedophiles to molest easier! WTH is wrong with you?!!!!

    • Actually, Lisa, he is not part of any church. He has embraced ‘rational disbelief’ whatever that is. he notes that he actually left the church when he was young

  3. Anonomous says

It doesn’ matter if he were a part of the church or not he is a sick pervert who should not have written this book he is a disgrace to the Greaves family name and the day he dies he should burn in hell.

    • I don’t usually say that about anyone anymore, but you know, I agree.

      • Very ‘Christian’ of you Joel… Perhaps if ‘Ray’ experienced more understanding in his dealing with ‘Christians’ he would not have gone down the path he has chosen… I don’t blame you or any of your fellow Christians finding the work disturbing… I am coming from a background of dealing with disturbed minds… I can tell you that childhood experiences play a huge part in the eventual outcome… and for the outraged Mom below.. God loves everyone… Not just the ones that think they are doing what he wants… Go well

        • Paul, I hope that no Christian will ever ‘understand’ the need for another to rape a child.

          • do you really believe that God will never turn His back on anyone eventually? At a certain point surely He must accept that some people will never be redeemed and wish His hands of them. I can’t imagine there is much in Ray that would promot any hope in any parent.

          • Kate, that is generally a believe in the universalism espoused by Judaism, early Christianity, and today’s Islamic world.

          • Peter from Whittier says

As a Paedophile, I am offended that you equate people of my sexual orientation with RAPISTS. You straight people rape all the time, but I never generalize and say to myself, “I think I’ll head over to Vons, but I need to make sure everything I buy isn’t invented/manufactured/handled by rapists, oh, and I’ll ring myself up, because I’m almost certain the register operator is a rapist…” You live in a sick world, Joel, and you are attempting to spread your word of hate as if it was butter on Satan’s oversized loaf of bread. I read his book, and I ironically disagree with quite a few points, but I don’t think in one bit that he deserves the treatment he’s received. What sucks about being in the closet to everyone except my wife, is that I cannot protest his imprisonment! Stop spreading hate so that good Paedophiles like me can come out of the closet without fear of lynching; it would be much healthier for PEOPLE me, enlightening for “adults” like you, and most importantly, make the world a safer place for ALL OUR children. Long story, short: DON’T CONDONE BULLYING, PERIOD.

          • all paedophiles should be locked up. period.

          • Peter from Whittier says

All Pederasts should be locked up. period.
            -fixed
There’s a difference; you ought to figure that out, hate-monger.

    • PedoVoice says

Christians shouldn’t be judging others, period. And we’re not living in modern day Iran (for that ‘disgrace to the Greaves family name comment), so count you’re blessings no one is judging you.

      • Peter from Whittier says

Dear “PedoVoice”, if you are a altruist as I am, I strongly suggest you you change your posting name to PaedoVoice…the true spelling of our sexual orientation is Paedophile, NOT “Pedophile”; the latter is the “Americanized” derogatory version which we find as offensive as the word nigger.

  4. outraged mom says

SICK. GOD DOES NOT LOVE PEDOPHILES SATAN DOES!

    • PedoVoice says

How can you speak for God? let alone the intentions of an entire disenfranchised band of PEOPLE we’re taught to treat as monsters.

  5. Anonomous says

Try looking up his fathers book -On God And Country- its very hard to find any more but I bet that e is rolling in his grave! Phillip Ray Greaves was a very honorable man and his son Ray is scum.

  6. Ayn Rand and Aristotle. No kidding!

    …………..

  7. I think anyone who bought this book should have their IP address and credit card information sent to the FBI. As a survivor, this disgusts me. With free speech comes responsibility. This isn’t even free speech covered under our rights because it is illegal to promote illegal activity. As for “they can’t help it”. They can. If a normal adult can choose abstinence, so can they if that is really a mental issue. Aristotle was a boy lover himself, so it isn’t surprising the author lists him as a source of inspiration. The only difference is that Greek society accepted it. I hope it NEVER comes to that here. Religion shouldn’t matter. All of us need to stand against this insanity.

    • Allison says

      I agree wholeheartedly!

    • PedoVoice says

You have two things right Laurie, Aristotle was a ‘boy lover’, as you so politely euphimized (although with a blatant double standard), and we do “choose” abstinence; those of us with moral fiber, anyway, however, not for the reason you may think. Any anthropologist will tell you that sanity is as relative as tradition directly related to the paradigm society holds as the status quo. To undergo a respectful, and healthy relationship with a child in this day and age would be cruel in the fact that the child is judged as cruely as the pedophile himself. My decision to abstinence was conciously made, that I’ve done as a moral agent, because I know what social stigma awaits a boy if anyone were to find out; NOT because society had a Christian-led power grab at the turn of a particular century. If relationships, between adult men and women, were miraculously barred, I highly doubt the average heterosexual male can keep the stature that even PRIESTS THEMSELVES falter to.

  8. Allison says

This man is clearly the devil himself. Nothing more can be said. Don’t glorify this evil man any longer.

  9. I am more than confused. Please note that I am not advocating the book or the behavior however, how come there are so many sites on the web promoting the same thing? Why is there nor has there been a moral outcry against these sites? For example, in a simple search I found STORIES.XNXX.COM One of their tags are “young” in which they have stories of adults and kids. Another part of the search in which was based on “3D” and “incest” has over 60 sites of computer generated pictures of adults and kids.

Before you blast me, I am a professor at a state based university. Over lunch with many other faculty members, one of the psychology professors who specialized in family therapy and human sexuality was talking about this subject. We as a group pulled out a computer and did the search. Do it yourself if you don’t believe me.

    Help me understand. Please!

    • No, Jeff, I completely agree – however, there are child porn rings as well. Would we be offended if we saw something like a coffee-table book of child porn on Amazon? I think it behooves us as a society to find things such as what you note and have them pulled down. This book, however, is not a mere story, but has a goal to creating a ‘safe’ space for pedophiles to abuse their victims… in real life. Further, Amazon is making money off of it, and so was his guy who was intent on paving a path for ‘pedosexuals’ as he calls it. Look at it this way – it was a real attempt to making pedophilia a mainstream acceptable behavior.

  10. con someone explain the difference between publishing a guide book describing how to rape children and not get caught, and publishing a book on how to assemble and detonate a car bomb?

  11. People, this a sickness, a mental one at that, he should be helped not alienated. Thats whats wrong with this country, people are so quick to write people off and to lock them off. They should be embraced and helped… and if its a lost cause after that, the shoot the guy in the f*****g head. whats this going to do, ranting on facebook? absolutely nothing, if you really wanted to make a statement get off facebook and take care of society yourself. “….

put this on facebook, get a life.

    • WeAreThey says

The problem with this country is the desensitization that has occurred. Sympathizers to adults whom stalk young children and sexually molest and rape them are proof. Perhaps books should be written to help these sick people understand it is WRONG TO SEXUALLY DEVOUR A CHILD. And yes Sarah, they become locked up… because it is against the law. If you’ve ever had a small child who was raped by some creepy older man (or woman) then perhaps you’d sing a different tune.

    • Wow, Sarah.

So, what you’re really saying is that someone who says ‘it’s okay to rape a child’ should be given the room to express himself? That makes you just as sick as he is.

    • From what I understand pedophiles dont or cant be cured.I myself have recently had conversations coincidently with co-workers on this subject.I believe that every man and women at the age of 18 should sign a legal document(when getting your DL or filing your taxes for example)stating the right to have your life taken if ever convicted of this crime.Murderers, rapist, thieves, etc who do these crimes should do their time.Anyone who commits wrongful acts against defenseless children(and animals)who cares why they do it just end it.

    • PedoVoice says

Wow, what a catch-22 situation you hypocrites have created for pedophiles, can’t treat a sociopath because they’ll say ANYTHING to get in a kids pants. The only illness apparent in this society is willful ignorance and blind hate; but hey, I guess it is easier to kill people we can’t understand, than abstract concepts buried deep in your poisoned minds.

  12. If I ever see this guy in public or if he’s doing a book signing I’m going to blow his face off with a shotgun.

    • Natas, statements like that are as bad as what he is doing. Okay, not as bad, but still, I wouldn’t say that in public

      • PedoVoice says

        Translated:
Natas, don’t stray from the play book; psychological warfare is legal, and if you’re conspiring to commit murder, keep it to yourself till you follow through.

    • What an utter imbecile you must be.

  13. I’m thinking of publishing a book…I want to know what you guys think of the title: “How to Stalk, Torture and Castrate Phillip R. Greaves II: A Parent’s Guide”….What do you think?

  14. what this man has done is morally repulsive. he is indeed advocating criminal acts and advising criminals. the book should never have been published. what the government should do is investigate this sick man. that being said, he is sick. now i am by no means condoning this man’s behavior, but i am saying, like any other citizen with a mental disease or disturbance, he needed professional help. i have no pity for this man who has probably followed his own principles of child loving, but i do in fact pity the brilliant side of him: that genius that once blossomed in the scholar but sadly was distorted by this atrocity. that is the side i wish i could help, but sadly it isn’t possible. so what do you do? give him the same clemency as other criminals that plead insanity? or put him in a 12 by 12 cell with a man who will show him what it feels like to be sexually violated?

  15. Piledriver says

From the sound of that “bio” I think I came across this guy before, some years ago when he had a website up on the same subject(s) and was advertising it all over usenet. If this is the same guy, he was very impressed with his imagined intellect and believed that his own mind was the font of all wisdom (I am only paraphrasing slightly), though I don’t recall him specifically claiming to be a Randian at the time.

Goes to show where that line of reasoning can lead…

  16. I own a copy of Mein Kampf. It’s a disturbing book. I’m not racist, but I am a Sioux. I specialize in history of the Holocaust, Nazism, and U.S. military intervention of World War II. It’s amazing how a book like Hitler’s remains public almost everywhere in the world except for certain spots in Europe. Hitler’s book by far is ten times worse than Greaves’ book will ever be.

There are thousands of controversial and taboo books out there. Americans typically denounce everything that affects their particular status quo of life.

I have no desire to read this book, but I’m not going to judge the author. I’m not going to jump to conclusions UNLESS I READ THIS BOOK.

The author just ruined his career for life.

  17. This is absolutely horrible. The people who published the book should be investigated also. HOW CAN ANYONE think this is okay????????

  18. Stephen says

What is with the knee-jerk reaction of the commenters on this site? Have you guys done nothing more than read the title of the book before you felt the need to be outraged into the action of advocating violence against another person?

    Give me a break.

Let’s try to be open minded for a second and consider the following about the author:
    1) The author does not advocate molestation or rape, as shown by the CNN interview.
    2) The author bases his depraved ideas on his own childhood experiences.
    3) The author has written this book about SAFETY of the participants, according to the CNN interview. The book is NOT about how to get away with child molestation or rape.

How about we try reading the book before properly taking such an extreme stance? Or at least considering more than just the title of the book… like what the author has to say?

    • The author actually advocates kissing and fondling little children. That is disgusting, and the fact that you are defending him is worse.

    • PedoVoice says

Almost perfect in being non-biased; should have left out the word “depraved” for its negative connotation.

  19. Dear m00zbah@gmail.com at St. Scholastica,

Your language is unbecoming and disgusting. Your comment is not allowed.

  20. Phillip, you are disgusting, and I will not allow you to post on my site.

  21. I feel truly sorry for this man – he’s so far from truth.

If he has abused someone he should be punished according to the law – justice. And, eventually, he’ll be judged by God who rights all wrongs.

But all of this hatred isn’t becoming of Christians. I believe Christ loves everyone and doesn’t give up on anyone, or else he’d have given up on me. He loves this sick man, and I have to emulate that or risk falling into darkness.

    That’s my two cents.

    • PedoVoice says

Thank God for the first genuine Christian comment on this board. You all can learn a lot from this man.

  22. Where can I find a pic of this scum? (Seriously)
    No particular reason…….

  23. Did someone already mention that Jesus would
rather a millstone be tied around the neck of the person who offends/hurts a child, and they
be cast into the sea? That is strong rhetoric for
a peaceful teacher who also drove dishonest moneychangers out of a place of worship, who
gave a cut to the priests(Amazon).

    • PedoVoice says

Read your bible again, he refers to the children of God, i.e. EVERYONE. You Christians love using YOUR book of worship erroneously to win arguments; arguments that should be based off logic and empirical evidence in the first place. Ha, and you “Christians” claim that WE pedophiles will say anything, and here you are quoting a book out of context, YOUR ‘HOLY’ BOOK no less! What scum.

      • Dude, you’ve got problems. If you actually support pedophiles, you can go to hell

        • PedoVoice says

Well your people are doing such a great job at bringing it here for people like me, I think I’m fine sitting just where I’m at. Don’t get me wrong, in fact I want this to be crystal clear. We all hate molesters and those who takes advantage of/harm/torture others, but the fact is, pedophiles are NOT rapists; every sexual orientation shares the common denominator of criminals in there society. As an ambassador to your own religious beliefs, it should be imperative for you to understand the impact that you create with these hate blogs; a silent schism between those you may love (and who might have loved you back)and who may unknowingly be in the closet with no harmful intent other than self preservation. Jesus didn’t preach hate, why do you persist?

          • Pedophiles are sick rapists. Jesus said to tie a mill stone around the neck of those who do these things to children.

          • PedoVoice says

This is the last post I can allot for tonight, I have a life; surprising for you to realize, I’m sure. I don’t know why I try to reach out to people like you. Your hateful ideals on something you don’t even come close to understanding is revolting. First of all, I’ve already acknowledged that attempt at translating the bible wherein you claim the term “children” for your own means. I repeat, the usage of the word “children” encompasses all, not just who you want it to include. Second of all, contrary to popular belief NOT ALL PEDOPHILES ARE NOT RAPISTS, there is a percentage that exists within all social groups, but even we can agree that ALL RAPISTS ARE SICK, and that they are the scum of the Earth. Stop purporting the premise that all pedophiles are rapists and molesters, because I can tell you now that you are certainly on the wrong side of history and civil rights.

          • ALL PEDOPHILES ARE RAPISTS. THEY ARE SICK. DEPRAVED.
