Birth or Not?

It appears that the website is down -

A US couple’s decision to let the public vote on whether or not they should keep their baby has dismayed prolifers.

Pete and Alisha Arnold, both 30, have set up the website, www.birthornot.com, to allow people to place their vote, as well as share their thoughts and see pictures of the foetus – nicknamed “Wiggles” by the pair.

Alisha is already 17 weeks pregnant, meaning that the unborn baby is entering the stage of growth where it is able to suck its thumb and hear voices. (here)

Disgusting – even if this is an attempt at making a statement.

His interests include exploring the role of mimesis in human civilization, specifically in the study of religion and media, as well as science fiction and the way in which it has allowed mythology to be explored in light of scientific ideals of the past century. Currently, he is a TA for Old Testament at United Theological Seminary under Dr. Vivian Johnson, Associate Professor of Old Testament. His first book, Rhetorical Strategies of the Evangelist: Mimetic Criticism of the Gospel of Mark, is expected to be published by Wipf and Stock early next year. 1. The website keeps going on and off, I guess it must be level of global traffic…

  2. I’m pro-choice, but this is just awful. There’s seeking counsel from people you love and trust, and then there’s being heinously inappropriate. If they have to ask the world to vote on whether or not they should be parents, then they should obviously not be parents.

    Disgusting, indeed.

  3. How sad, they both should be fixed as not to ever have children…

  4. When I first looked at the website, I thought this can’t be real. And indeed it does appear to be a hoax. They may well be having a baby, but there was never going to be an abortion.
