Rick is also keeping us updated in regards to Rick Joyner’s (it’s difficult not to get the two Rick’s confused 
) handling of the situation here.
I have to ask. Why do you think that with all the New Charismatics out there, daily, would Rick Joyner (maybe others) put so much time and energy into rehabilitating the Todd’s image, especially given the fact that many have forgotten about Lakeland already.

My three cents…
Aside from any altruistic reasons that they may truly have…I think that they need to restore Todd to avoid discrediting all of Lakeland, his theological errors and his friends.
IMO, also, as the star of Lakeland, Bentley is the closest thing to an Elvis–a guaranteed draw–that that wing of the church has. I am confident he’ll be used more ligthly than at Lakeland…but Morningstar won’t announce when. Perhaps this will be in order to get an extra night taken at the Morningstar hotel, or another stack of waffles sold at the Morningstar cafe, as those people who *have* to see Elvis, er, Todd, stick around. They will definitely be keeping mum to avoid further protests like this one…Unless they want them to garner sympathy (which would be kind of Machiavellian on their part).

Todd Bentley and S&M Apostles
I came across the following verse recently, and thought it was relevant to the methods of Todd Bentley, where he kicked people, amongst all his other perverted acts:
In that one verse God is warning that if you don’t use good discernment then you may condone abuse from evil practictioners:
- enslaves you
- exploits you
- takes advantage of you
- pushes himself forward
- slaps you in the face
In that verse God is indirectly warning against ministers like Todd Bentley, but some people are replying “we love ‘revival’ entertainments”.
That is just like the people who pay money for perverted sadomasochism sessions (whips, chains, etc.)
Todd Bentley certainly looked the part as an S&M practitioner with all his tatoos and piercings.
What is wrong with church people who put up with spiritual S&M sessions from people like Todd Bentley?
Maybe it is explained in a reply Jesus gave to people who “asked for a sign”:
“A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign!” (Matt 12:38-42)
The “wicked and adulterous” aspect may relate to seeking novelty and indulgence of the senses.
Just like the drugged/drunken/mentally ill manifestations of Toronto “Blessing”, John Crowder, Brandon Barthrop, Benjamin Dunn, etc.
