  1. Derek Webb, formerly of Caedmon’s Call, has a song called T-Shirts about lame Christian T-shirts.

“They know us by the T-shirts that we wear… when love is what we should be known for”.

  2. I have developed quite a distaste for slogan Christianity. I used to wear those shirts when I was a new believer, but avoid them now. Some are thoughtful, but most are so clichéd that most people probably find them to be a bit lame. There is one shirt I saw some months ago that I liked. It said “I dare you to ask me about Jesus.”

  3. I have a general aversion to religious trinkets to begin with. I think these are all nonsense. The elements and message are true, but what about the delivery? People need to think about it. It’s just not shirts either, people have the same approach sometimes.

  4. I’ll never understand why christians put these things on their toursos when everyone knows they belong on the bumpers of our cars. Seriously!

  5. I don’t like them , there is this one guy I work with always wears one everyday, but he also reads Joel Osteens books…

  6. My 19 year old son made some radical ones! (He had a silk screen business) A few for his old man, like Calvins pic, and Roman’s 11::22, at least part of it: “Behold then the goodness and severity of God..” That was several years back, when I was more hardcore! lol Now I am quiet and docile…oh yeah! lol Even at my age.

  7. If I would like to use one the designs on a shirt…how can I find out if there is copyright on it.

  8. Deb, that speaks volumes, doesn’t it!

I generally don’t like them either. Every once in a while I’ll see one and think it’s ok, but not too often.
